So what is the 'X factor', and how can we train it to our sales people/teams if the specifics always remain frustratingly indefinable?
After being in sales throughout my career I recognise that success in sales comes down to 2 things. Firstly, having hard skills; that is, having a great knowledge of the product or service on offer. Secondly and more importantly, having great soft skills; and it’s the array of these soft skills that we can hone and enhance to really make the difference between being just a supplier to achieving truly connected relationships with our clients so they don’t want to buy products or services from anyone else.
